RESEARCH
All our supplements containing nano-particles of precious metals have gone through rigorous examination in certified, accredited laboratories in terms of anti-germ properties and safety for human use. We cooperate with R&D institutions, specialist research labs, institutes and universities.
We hold the widely recognized EU Safety Assessment, according to EU parliament and council’s resolution no. 1223/2009 from 30th November 2009, and the Resolution by the Polish Parliament’s Chairman from the day 11 March 2013 (Journal of Laws 2013, paragraph 475)
The toxicology assessment of product components were based on:
1. Each substance’s characteristics report
2. CIR toxicology database
3. GRASS database
4. The existing expertise by SCCS
5. GENETOX base
6. HSDB base
7. DART base
8. CPDP base
9. IRIS base
The toxicological profiles of raw materials are good. The safety assessment of substances was carried out based on molecular masses, LogPo/w coefficients and a long history of safe use in the cosmetics and food industry. The calculated safety margins are above the value of 100, so the substances are safe for human health.
In the assessment of each component, the following criteria were discussed: high toxicity through relevant paths of exposure, irritating and corrosive effect on the skin, mucous membranes and ears, skin allergies, absorption through skin, the toxicity of a repeated dose, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity and pregnancy hazards as well as phototoxicity and toxicokinetics.
Colloidal Silver - Silver (Ag) dispersed in water - a precious metal from the first group of metals in the periodical table. It’s the best electricity and heat conductor out of all metals. Int occurs naturally in minerals such as argentite (silver sulfide), chlorargyrite (AgCl), or bromargiryte (AgBr). Silver is an essential component of many metal alloys. Due to its physical and chemical properties, silver (along with its compounds and alloys) has numerous applications in industry, electrical engineering and photography.
Also, silver shows antibacterial properties that have been known since ancient times. These properties can also be used for cosmetic purposes.
Research has shown that silver concentration as small as 0,5 ppm in a substance will already halt the development of germs (candida albicans, enterococcus hirae, eschericia coli, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococcus aureus) after 15 minutes.
Research results carried out in a group of volunteers showed no signs of allergy or irritation. The toxicological profile of silver is appropriate for a cosmetic ingredient.
Colloidal Gold - gold dispersed in water, a precious element, occurring naturally mainly in native form, is chemically resistant to reacting with various compounds. It also occurs in human bones, with total amount not exceeding 10 mg. It is used in medicine and dentistry. Administered orally, it doesn’t show signs of toxicity. In line with current legislation, it is used as coloring acceptable for cosmetics (listed as CI77480). It is listed in the first column, which means it can be used without limitations (in terms of application range) in all cosmetics.
Collodal Copper - Cu - an element that occurs naturally in the human body. It is an indispensable component in blood formation processes. The daily recommendable intake of copper should be 8 mg. Consequently, “demineralized water with added copper colloid” poses no threat to health as a beauty product ingredient.
Colloidal Platinum - platinum dispersed in water, a chemical element and a transitional metal which is also classified as a precious metal. It has got 36 isotopes, with molecular mass ranging from 172 to 201 and occurs naturally , contaminating nickel/copper ores and as nuggets, which were used to build houses. Up to year 1700, it had been considered a cheap surrogate for silver. It doesn’t react with water, air, acids or alkalis. The only substances it reacts with are aqua regis and hydrofluoric acid. In terms of toxicity, it is harmless to humans, the lowest toxic dose when administered orally is 9100 mg/kg/26 weeks, and 23g/kg when applied subcutaneously as an implant.
